transfer songs from ipod shuffle to computer
Moving itunes library to new computer without old one?
I have an Ipod shuffle. I bought a new computer to replace my dead one. How can I move my entire library to the new one, if the old computer is dead and gone. I threw it away once it wouldn’t even turn on. Trust me, the old computer was dead!
At the very least, if I have lost the library from the old one, how can I transfer the songs that are already on the ipod to my new computer?
Wouldn’t I need my old computer for a flash drive? The old computer is gone, and I never copied my library onto any disks or anything.
Attach your IPod to computer… go to “My Computer” right click the Ipod…go to properties…unhide….(skip this step if yours doesn’t disappear…). Next. Double click your IPod icon and see the folders…click Tools..Folder Options…and go to the “View Tab” check the box to show hidden files or folders.
Now when you have the IPod open on your computer you will have more files than before…namely the ITunes Music Folder… This will have several folders in it and inside those is your music. Just copy all the folders to your new computer and and the folder to ITunes.
