I inquired about the Apple Ipod touch prices in Reseller stores in Bangalore and its about Rs. 14000 for the 8GB model. However the same product can be bought at a much cheaper price from Amazon.com.(around Rs 10k)

Well, you can buy one from the Amazon. But instead of saving 4k, you may end up paying more than 14k. You have to pay shipping costs and other taxes to bring it to India. Moreover, you cannot have a guarantee of the product you are buying online. If it’s a malfunctioned one, you’ve to run head over heels for the repair. Whereas in India, you can personally see the product you’re going to buy and can have all the warranties and all. You don’t have to worry about the damages that occur while shipping the product. So it’s the catch behind saving 4k.
