Ipod Itouch, I cannot sync it to iTunes!! Help!!?

I downloaded iTunes to my laptop and when i connect the Itouch thru the USB I get pop up that says camara and/os scanner not able to sync then it says the devices name which is Apple iPod and it says no pictures. Im just trying to sync it so that i can download tranfers my comp. stuff to it! and im not sure if its set to sync only pictures but it doesnt sync i have connected shuffle iPod and that sync. Can any one help me or have a suggestions on how to make this work. :,-(

You’re using a PC? There’s a lot of problems with syncing the itouch to with a windows pc. The first thing that you have to make sure of is that you have latest version of itunes installed and that your computer has all the updates from microsoft.

You may have to uninstall itunes completely, and by completely, I mean anything Apple including Quicktime and reinstall iTunes. You may have to do this more than once.

It seems that there is a serious driver problem in the older Apple updater app in previous itunes.

I had to do the same thing.
