ipod passcode recovery

I need help with my ipod?

i forgot the passcode to my ipod touch. i plugged it into itunes and tried to reset it by holding power and home. as soon as the screen turned black i let go of the power button. it says now “itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. you must restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes” i don’t know what to do now plz help. after i try this it still asks me for the passcode plz help. thanks
how do i restore it

Even after a restore, it asks for a passcode? That might be the backup. Try installing without installing the backup as well.
